University Client Achieves Highest Enrollment in 20 Years

In 2008, a private, North Carolina liberal arts university, working with a respected higher education recruitment partner, was suffering from too many “soft” applications and a lagging yield.
In early 2009 New Reach Media was selected as the new strategic partner for enrollment communications to employ a strategy of personalized emails and postcards to drive students to personal microsites (New Reach Media’s PRO-Search and PRO-Yield products). The personal sites contained targeted information, as well as a “VIP” application and other pre-populated sign-up forms.
New Reach also did an analysis of former years’ applicants and matriculations, and provided list acquisition and applicant rating strategies.
The final results are now in. While 25% fewer applications were submitted compared to 2008, enrollment jumped from 419 to 541, a 29% increase. The university has achieved its highest enrollment in 20 years. And better yet, these results were achieved with a $200,000 savings compared to 2008.
